The Aircraft Owners and Operators Association of Pakistan (AOOA) has slammed the Aviation Policy 2023’s double rise in security deposits and other fees as “catastrophic.”

In a news release, the association condemned the substantial increase in security deposits, which are now Rs. 10 million, and warned that the move will harm fresh investments as aviation companies consider expanding. They said that the business was already on the verge of collapse and that the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority’s (PCAA) request for an increase in security deposits made no sense.
