The recent incident in Dera Ismail Khan shook the nation as two valiant soldiers, Naib Subedar Yasir Shakeel and Sepoy Tahir Naveed, laid down their lives in a cowardly suicide attack on a security forces’ convoy.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that a suicide bomber targeted the convoy, resulting in a devastating explosion and the loss of these two heroes. Hailing from Kohat district, Shakeel, aged 38, and Naveed, aged 34, exemplified courage and dedication to their duty.

The ISPR vowed to bring the perpetrators of this despicable act to justice, underscoring the unwavering determination of the security forces to eradicate terrorism from the region. Such sacrifices, though tragic, serve to bolster the resolve of those committed to defending the nation against all threats.

In another operation in Panjgur district, Balochistan, security forces dealt a significant blow to terrorism by neutralizing a notorious terrorist, Chakar Liaquat, and injuring two of his associates. Liaquat, wanted for his involvement in various terrorist activities, was eliminated during an exchange of fire, with weapons and ammunition seized from his possession.

Meanwhile, discussions between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and army chief General Syed Asim Munir in Islamabad revolved around national security, military operations, and foreign relations. General Munir briefed the premier on his recent visit to Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the outcomes of ongoing intelligence-based operations against terrorism.

The meeting underscored the commitment of the government and the military to addressing the challenges posed by internal and external threats, highlighting the need for concerted efforts to ensure the safety and security of the nation.
