In response to escalating concerns regarding potential terrorist threats, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab conducted a series of intelligence-based operations across several cities. This coordinated effort resulted in the apprehension of 23 individuals suspected of involvement in terrorist activities.

The seized items included explosives, hand grenades, weapons, and a substantial amount of cash, underscoring the severity of the threat posed by these suspects. Allegedly affiliated with prominent terrorist groups such as Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Lahore and Al-Qaeda in Faisalabad, the arrested individuals were believed to be actively planning attacks on critical institutions.

The operations, spanning major urban centers like Lahore, Gujranwala, Mianwali, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, Rajanpur, Sialkot, and Faisalabad, targeted key figures and networks involved in terrorist activities. The successful outcome of these operations highlights the government’s dedication to combatting terrorism and ensuring peace and stability in the region, while also serving as a stark reminder of the ongoing threat posed by extremist elements. Continued vigilance and proactive measures remain imperative to safeguard against potential terrorist attacks.
