The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) in Islamabad has lately taken a significant step forward in assisting people with disabilities by creating a unique helpline and a service for obtaining identity cards in the comfort of their own homes. According to a NADRA public relations officer, the Special Helpline 1777 is intended to be a comprehensive resource for impaired people.

Furthermore, the home-based NIC issuance service is designed primarily for those with impairments who have difficulty attending NADRA registration centres.
NADRA officials will make home visits to gather essential paperwork, collect biometric data, and ultimately issue NICs. This method assures that all persons, regardless of physical ability, have access to vital identification documents.
