The Islamabad Police recently revamped its Digital License Management System (DLMS), optimizing the handling of data concerning suspects and e-challan defaulters.
The Safe City Command and Control Center recently furnished the Police Khidmat Center and traffic offices with a roster of 145 violators. Consequently, 995 e-challans were resolved by 82 violators at the traffic offices, while stern measures were taken against the remaining 63 individuals, resulting in the suspension of their licenses.

As per the Chief Police Officer (CPO) Safe City/Traffic, the fully operational Digital License Management System underwent an update earlier this week. Traffic rule violators have been strongly advised to clear their e-challans to avoid legal consequences.
Furthermore, Safe City cameras and the recently introduced Brief Cam alerts are being utilized to identify vehicles associated with e-challan violations, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Recently, Islamabad police initiated a crackdown against traffic law violators following directives from Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Sarfraz Virk. Virk noted a decline of 38,000 cases in traffic violations in October and November 2023 compared to the same period last year.
He attributed this achievement to augmented fines and the registration of cases against severe violations, particularly targeting underage drivers and those flouting one-way regulations.
