Gas Shortage Forces 48-Hour Shutdown of CNG Stations in Sindh

CNG stations in Sindh will be closed for 48 hours starting from 8 am on December 30, 2023, until 8 am on January 1, 2024. This is because there’s not enough gas available. It’s affecting the pressure in the gas system.

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) says this shortage is making it hard to keep up with the demand for gas. So, they’re shutting down CNG stations and some industries, including their power units.

If any industry doesn’t follow this rule, they might lose their gas supply for a week. Exporters are worried too because the lack of gas is causing delays in their work, which is worth a lot of money.
