A five-member bench led by Chief Election Commissioner Sikander Sultan Raja heard the case and reserved a decision on the disqualification of the former PTI Chairman.

Petitioner Khalid Mehmood claimed that no one, including PTI founder member Akbar S Babar, acknowledged the PTI’s intra-party elections.
He also said that the ECP stated in the decision that the PTI chairman is a convicted person who cannot hold any post in the party.
According to Chief Election Commissioner Sultan Sikandar Raja, the founder chairman of the PTI did not run in the election, thus we cannot comment.
