Due to Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) declared that it will be closed on Monday, December 25, 2023. In a circular released today, the central bank stated, “The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on December 25, 2023 (Monday), being a public holiday on the occasions of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, as declared by the Government of Pakistan.”
 The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), in addition to SBP, declared yesterday that it will be closed on December 25 for the previously mentioned reasons.

Every year, the Cabinet Division publishes a list of all public holidays. The list states that December 25th will be observed nationwide as a public holiday.
On this day, commercial banks will likewise be closed. As such, banks will not be open for business on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.
