The Lahore Traffic Police have informed citizens that the province government has decided to significantly increase the charge for automobile and motorcycle driving licenses.

The caretaker Punjab administration has hiked the charge for obtaining a driver’s license by 1566%, from Rs. 60 to Rs. 1000, according to an announcement on X.

The traffic police, on the other hand, claimed that individuals have until December 31 to obtain their licenses at the existing rate. Motorists will be required to pay a license fee of Rs. 1000 beginning January 1, 2024.
