Ali Zafar from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced Imran Khan won’t run in their party’s elections, nominating Barrister Gohar Ali Khan instead. This came after confusion when lawyers initially confirmed Imran’s withdrawal, later dismissed by the party. Zafar cited Imran’s legal issues as the reason.

He emphasized Imran’s focus on resolving his case before rejoining. Gohar, grateful for the nomination, pledged to hold the position temporarily. The party’s leadership is still finalizing important decisions regarding the elections.
