In a significant meeting focusing on the Mines and Minerals of Balochistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored the paramount importance of meticulous planning, particularly in communication infrastructure such as railway lines, to fully harness the mineral resources in the region.
Chairing the session with a special emphasis on the Reqo Dik Project in Lahore, he directed immediate action towards enhancing the existing road networks to facilitate connectivity between Reqo Dik and Gwadar, prioritizing efficient transportation routes.
Furthermore, Shehbaz Sharif stressed the importance of engaging all stakeholders at both official and grassroots levels to ensure seamless progress and overcome any hurdles impeding the project’s advancement.
Addressing concerns over the safety and security of the workers engaged in the Reqo Dik Project, the Prime Minister affirmed the government’s commitment to guaranteeing their well-being, along with secure logistics and transportation from Reqo Dik to the port.
Additionally, he urged expediting the ongoing road construction projects while strategizing the feasibility of establishing a railway network from Reqo Dik to Gwadar port, thereby maximizing the project’s potential.
