In Dijkot, Faisalabad, a man named Muhammad Tahir took the drastic step of murdering himself after brutally killing his wife and three daughters due to financial difficulty and an inability to repay a loan, an allegation that has yet to be investigated by the police.
Tahir left behind a suicide note in which he described the awful circumstances that led to his heinous crime.

According to investigators, he killed his family members with a hammer before swallowing lethal pills to terminate his own life.
The statement also described the anguish his daughters endured following his death, asking them not to bother his siblings and sisters, who would handle it.
