Qazi Faiz Isa, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (SC), decided to auction off the luxury automobiles assigned to the Chief Justice’s office.
The Registrar of the Supreme Court officially communicated the order by sending letters to the cabinet secretary and the chief secretary of Punjab, instructing them to proceed with the auction by CJ Isa’s directive.

The auction will feature a Rs.61 million 2020 Mercedes-Benz and a bulletproof Land Cruiser given by the Punjab government.
“The decision reflects a stance against the importation of luxury vehicles for constitutional positions,” stated the SC registrar in a letter.
