According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola has risen by Rs800, reaching Rs211,800. After a surge of Rs686, the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold settled at Rs181,584. Simultaneously, the international gold market experienced a $2 increase, settling at $1960 per ounce.

In contrast, Friday saw a decline in gold prices in Pakistan, dropping by up to Rs2,100 per tola. Amidst this, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) maintained its bullish trend, achieving a noteworthy milestone on Monday. The benchmark KSE-100 index surpassed the 56,000-point mark, reaching an all-time high record during intraday trading. This surge, fueled by positive factors such as clarity on the election date and optimistic expectations for an IMF review, resulted in a gain of 618 points.
