Russian President Vladimir Putin joined in extending his congratulations to Shahbaz Sharif on his re-election as Pakistan’s Prime Minister. The Russian embassy in Pakistan shared Putin’s message, emphasizing the friendly relations between Russia and Pakistan and expressing hopes for success in Shehbaz’s important role.

Other Global Leaders Follow Suit in Congratulating Shahbaz Sharif

In addition to Modi and Putin, several other global leaders sent messages of congratulations to Shahbaz Sharif on his appointment as Prime Minister of Pakistan. Shehbaz Sharif Secures Prime Ministerial Victory

Shehbaz Sharif emerged victorious in the Prime Minister’s election, garnering 201 votes against his PTI-backed opponent, Omar Ayub Khan from the Sunni Ittehdad Council (SIC), who secured 92 votes. With his comfortable win, Shehbaz Sharif assumes the leadership of Pakistan for the second time.
