In a significant development, Italy has inaugurated its visa services in Lahore, marking the commencement of a new chapter in bilateral relations between Italy and Pakistan. The announcement was made by Augusto Palmeiri, First Secretary of the Italian Embassy, during a gathering at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
Expressing the importance of Lahore as the first city he visited officially, Palmeiri underscored the significance of fostering stronger ties between the two nations, not only in general cooperation but also in the realm of business collaborations.
Palmeiri’s invitation to attend upcoming expos reflects the intention to bolster business relations, signaling a promising trajectory for economic cooperation between Italy and Pakistan.
LCCI President Kashif Anwar reiterated the chamber’s commitment to enhancing mutual ties, noting the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between LCCI and the Embassy of Italy in March 2018. The renewal of this agreement is poised to deepen the existing relationship, facilitating further opportunities for collaboration and exchange between the two countries.
