The OnePlus 12 has received a lot of attention, but the 12R is an additional OnePlus smartphone that shouldn’t be overlooked. Thanks to the trustworthy tipster Max Jambor, we now have access to the most recent rumoured specifications for the device, which is expected to make its worldwide debut in January alongside the OnePlus 12.
The 6.78-inch curved LTPO 4.0 OLED display on the OnePlus 12R is rumoured to have an adjustable refresh rate that may range from 1Hz to 120Hz. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is reportedly used to protect the display for enhanced durability.
 The flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset from last year will power the device’s internal components, which come in a generous configuration with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of quick UFS 4.0 storage.

The leaked information about the phone includes details about its camera setup. It’s reported to have a 50-megapixel primary camera using an IMX890 sensor, along with an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. This combination aims to cater to different photography needs. Additionally, the OnePlus 12R is said to feature a robust 5,500 mAh battery capable of supporting rapid 100W charging for quick power replenishment.
There is a concerning gap between the phone’s frame and the camera island, which is one of the many build quality faults plaguing the OnePlus 12. Although the issue does not affect every OnePlus 12 device, we hope that it has been fixed for both the worldwide OnePlus 12 and the OnePlus 12R.
