Senior Vice President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and legal counsel for Imran Khan, Sher Afzal Marwat, has been released following intense protests by party workers. The police have instructed Sher Afzal Marwat to return from Bajaur area.

It should be noted that Sher Afzal Marwat was scheduled to address a workers’ convention at the Bajaur Agency but was apprehended from the location of Chakdara. The Tehreek-e-Insaf party confirmed his arrest, stating that such tactics are highly disgraceful, and incidents of the arrest and coercion of their leaders should cease immediately. Upon news of his arrest surfacing, PTI workers protested, closing Chakdara Road and announcing a sit-in until his release.
According to sources, Sher Afzal Marwat was apprehended by Swat Police, and the entire operation was overseen by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). The police force was heavily deployed at the time of the arrest.
