Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the PML-N, has instructed party leaders to prepare for the upcoming general elections, scheduled for February 8 next year. During the first meeting at the party’s Model Town secretariat in four years, Sharif expressed his commitment to transforming Pakistan into an ‘Asian Tiger.’

Upon his arrival at the party’s secretariat, Nawaz Sharif received a warm welcome from PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and other senior leaders. Key party figures like Khwaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Ishaq Dar, Khwaja Saad Rafique, and Marriyum Aurangzeb were also present. Accompanied by his daughter and the party’s senior vice president, Maryam Nawaz, Nawaz Sharif visited the PML-N secretariat.

Sources indicate that a special office has been established in the central secretariat to facilitate Nawaz Sharif’s engagement in political activities starting this week. Anusha Rehman, a former federal minister and in-charge of the PML-N secretariat, provided Nawaz Sharif with a detailed briefing on the functioning of various departments within the party office.

During the meeting, Sharif presided over discussions regarding the issuance of party tickets for the upcoming general elections.

Nawaz Sharif recently returned to Islamabad after spending four years in self-imposed exile in London. Upon his return, he addressed a large gathering of PML-N workers and supporters in Lahore, his hometown. He emphasized his deep affection for the Pakistani people and prioritized national prosperity over the desire for revenge, vowing to alleviate Pakistan’s economic challenges.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is optimistic about its prospects in the upcoming general elections, with Nawaz Sharif aspiring to serve as Pakistan’s prime minister for a fourth term.

According to sources within the PML-N, Nawaz Sharif is planning an extensive tour of all four provinces, commencing with a public rally in Mansehra after November 10. Additionally, he has scheduled meetings with leaders from other political parties.
