The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has called upon PTI-backed lawmaker Shandana Gulzar following accusations against Maryam Nawaz, as reported by ARY News. Shandana Gulzar MNA has been summoned to appear before the FIA on March 14 in Lahore.
The allegations, initially raised by a lawmaker from the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), prompted a complaint filed by the PML-N with the FIA concerning Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz. In response, Punjab’s Information Minister Uzma Bukhari emphasized the importance of providing evidence to substantiate the allegations, asserting that measures would be taken to prevent Gulzar from evading accountability.
Additionally, PTI leader and MNA Sher Afzal Marwat claimed to possess telephone recordings implicating Maryam Nawaz. Marwat announced intentions to share this evidence with investigators during a press conference outside the National Assembly.
