A distinguished Chinese conglomerate BYD Company Limited delegation recently met with Dr. Sohail Rajput, the Secretary of BOI (Board of Investment), expressing strong interest in investing in Pakistan’s burgeoning Electric Vehicle (EV) sector.

Comprising Cai Xiao Xu, the Head of Dealer Development (South Asia), and Lei Jian, the Country Head for Pakistan, the delegation highlighted BYD Company’s global standing as a Fortune 500 entity and a leading figure in EV manufacturing, spanning automotive, rail transit, new energy, and electronics industries.

This visit, facilitated by BOI, marks an exploratory venture for the delegation, aiming to engage in pivotal discussions with potential local partners. Dr. Sohail Rajput, in response, warmly welcomed BYD’s interest, acknowledging the significant role of EVs in Pakistan’s developmental landscape.
