Asad Umar quits politics, resigns from PTI

In a significant development, Asad Umar, the prominent figure and leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has officially cut ties with the political party.

Taking to the social media platform X, Asad Umar shared his decision, stating, “After more than one decade in public life, I have decided to completely quit politics.

He reiterated his earlier public stance, expressing disagreement with the aggressive policy towards state institutions. According to Umar, this approach has resulted in a detrimental clash with these institutions, posing a threat to the country’s best interests.

In a formal announcement, Asad Umar declared, “I am resigning from the fundamental membership of PTI.” He extended his gratitude to all those who supported him throughout his public service journey.

Special mention was made for the NA 54 team and the voters who elected him twice, expressing appreciation for their unwavering support. Umar emphasized his sincere efforts to serve the constituency from which he was elected.

Concluding his statement, the former PTI leader invoked blessings upon the Pakistani nation, signifying a new chapter as he steps away from active politics.
